Percussion Ensemble Workshop
"The perfect team-building experience!"

Have you ever wondered
what it is like
to play in a band?
Playing in a band and working in a firm
have A LOT in common!
It’s all about team work and understanding
that all the players play significant roles
in the bigger picture and for the
achievement of the desired final goal.
How does it work?
Over the course of approx. 1.5 hours
I will teach you how to play together
in a percussion band just like they do in Brazil: We will learn how the band works
and what it is made of, how to play
the different percussion instruments,
how they interplay with one another,
and general musical terms and concepts.
By the end of the workshop we will play
a full musical piece, putting into practice everything we have just learned-
and the entire way there is gonna be
so much fun!

In this team-building designed Ensemble Workshop the participants can learn and experience:
COLLABORATION & COMUNICATION:
Working in an ensemble requires constant communication. Participants learn how to listen actively, give and receive feedback, and coordinate with others to achieve a unified goal, helping to build trust and understanding within the team
ADAPTIBILITY & FLEXIBILITY:
Working with others in a creative setting often involves adjusting to unexpected changes, improvising, and being flexible in your approach. This fosters resilience and the ability to navigate challenges as a team
SHARED RESPOSIBILITY
& ACCOUNTABILITY:
Each member has a role to play, and the success of the ensemble relies on collective effort. Participants learn to take responsibility for their individual contributions while supporting their teammates, promoting a sense of accountability and shared ownership of the outcome
EMPATHY & EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE:
Ensemble work requires understanding and responding to the needs of others, whether it’s adjusting to their timing or supporting their strengths. This cultivates empathy, emotional awareness, and the ability to connect with team members on a deeper level, which is vital for effective teamwork
What people say :

all of which can be custom tailored to your specific event.

-
Who/what is this workshop made for?Organizations of any kind, team-building events, offsite events, company enrichment activities or simply for having a fun time doing something that's a bit different!
-
How is this workshop different than other musical workshops? This workshop has been designed and formatted primarily for organizations! It personifies the team aspect and spirit and was thoroughly created to simulate, shed light on, and even improve a lot of the different key elements of working in an organization, in a way that is both educational and enormously fun! And btw- aside from that function it's also often booked merely for the sake of having a fun group activity- for any group of any kind!
-
Do we need any musical background in order to participate in the workshop? Not at all! Although musicians can and do enjoy this workshop just as much, the workshop is designed specifically for non-musicians and covers all you need to know from the very basics! Within approx. 1.5 hours you will all be seasoned percussionists playing in a band! :)
-
How many people can participate in the workshop?A minimum of 3, a maximum of 3,333 ! Having said that, some organizations prefer to divide the activity into a few rounds with smaller groups- depending on the organization's own agenda and the day's overall requirements.
-
Where does the workshop take place? The workshop can take place anywhere that's spacious enough for the number of participants and that can accommodate some volume from our playing! It can be outdoors or indoors. A lot of off-sight resorts already have spaces that would fit these 2 simple criteria.
-
Who is conducting this workshop?I am a life-long professional drummer & drum educator with a 30-year experience in corporate workshops, private & group lessons, world tours and recording sessions. Feel free to check out my Bio and Media pages to get a deeper acquaintance with my career and art!
-
Is there anything else I need to take into consideration before booking the workshop?Basically not much! Upon inquiry and booking process I will send you a short document that among other things includes the short list of what else would be needed on your behalf for the running of the workshop.
-
I would love to book the workshop, but what if my company is not based in Berlin? This workshop travels virtually everywhere! I simply pack up the instruments and equipment and everything is easily transferable by car or even by plane. Easy.

I want to book the workshop,
let's groove!
